Hanna was born in South Korea and spent her formative years traveling to China. Her passion for Japanese comics began as a teenager, and she has been interested in the diverse artistic cultures of East Asia. She is settling in Italy now, immersing herself in the depths of Italian art, which became a significant role in her work.

After graduating in comic art at college, she worked as an illustrator and cartoonist. However, she has been interested in painting work, which conveys subliminal solid messages through a single image. Comics deliver it through a long, specific story and context and are easy to accept only when directly displayed based on pop culture. Paintings can convey profound meanings more subtly. Recognizing this, she shifted her focus to traditional oil painting, a slower and more contemplative medium that better suited her philosophical explorations.

At the heart of Hanna's work is a philosophical question about the position and role of humans in nature. Having lived in various countries, she has witnessed many different aspects of life and gained a unique perspective that allows her to viewpoint from a third-person perspective. This and her contemplation form the basis of her artistic message.
